Origins
The maritime pine, also known as the Landes pine,
originates from the west of the Mediterranean basin
and North Africa.

Shape
Its height can reach 36 m. Its cones can measure
up to 15 cm long. The needles grouped in pairs form
a bundle in the centre of which a bud develops. Its
deeply cracked bark, easily recognised has a brownie-red
colour. A resin is extracted from its trunk that is
used to produce turpentine.

Use
Its wood is used mainly for exterior and interior
structures : mouldings, floors, plywood, panelling,
beams and laminated timber, etc…
